Twas the Night AFTER Christmas...
Not a creature was sturring... well, maybe a mouse?
The stockings were opened
no chimney... don't care
With the scent of Breakfast caserole to soon fill the air
The Children were nestled... kinda cold in their beds
Memories of opening presents and first Christmas' still danced in their heads
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below,
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a drunk driver had smashed a parked car in our rear!

"Joseph's Lullaby" ~ MercyMe
Go to sleep my Son
This manger for your bed
You have a long road before You
Rest Your little head
Can You feel the weight of Your glory?
Do You understand the price?
Does the Father guard Your heart for now
So You can sleep tonight?
Go to sleep my Son
Go and chase Your dreams
This world can wait for one more moment
Go and sleep in peace
I believe the glory of Heaven
Is lying in my arms tonight
Lord, I ask that He for just this moment
Simply be my child
Go to sleep my Son
Baby, close Your eyes
Soon enough You'll save the day
But for now, dear Child of mine
Oh my Jesus, Sleep tight
